Before you begin

Clear rules. A clear playing experience.

KioskPlay is an experience built around entertainment and skill. These terms explain participation, recording a result and how the system operates in a store.

Terms version: 4 October 2026

1. The service covered by these terms

These terms cover KioskPlay at participating physical stores and its associated online result registration. DM SOFT provides the technology; its company and contact details appear at the end of this page. The store identifies its own business and specific participation conditions at the installation.

The website’s 10 Seconds Challenge is a separate demonstration: it does not use Play Tickets, register player details or issue certificates. Software and equipment prices on this website are for the business installing the system.

2. Participation and the Play Ticket

Participation follows a completed order, under conditions the store communicates before purchase. There is no additional charge to play, and product prices are not increased because of participation. Playing is optional.

A separate Play Ticket is handed over at the till or printed at the ordering kiosk. It carries a barcode and participation code. Each valid ticket provides one attempt and cannot be reused. When an order qualifies for several attempts, the corresponding tickets are issued.

Before the order, the store explains eligibility, attempt counts, available games and any use deadline. A ticket only provides access to the stated attempt, is not sold separately and has no economic or transactional value. The purchase receipt remains a separate document.

3. Playing the 10 Seconds Challenge

Scan your Play Ticket’s barcode at KioskPlay, or enter its code where that option is provided. Read the instructions and start the attempt. The goal is to stop the timer so that the accepted result displayed by the game is exactly 10.00 seconds.

The result depends on your actions and timing. It is not selected by a draw or random mechanism. The measurement and acceptance rule is disclosed before play and stays the same throughout the attempt. Being closest to ten seconds is not this game’s rule.

4. Recording your achievement and obtaining a certificate

When a successful result is recorded, KioskPlay prints a slip showing the game, result, date and time, and the QR for that record. This QR opens the verification page on your phone. The Play Ticket barcode is used before play; the result QR is used afterwards.

To request a personal certificate, enter your first name, surname and mobile number on the registration page after reading the privacy information. You can then save a personal PDF with your details and result. You can enjoy the game without registering personal details.

The slip and certificate recognise the achievement only. They have no economic or transactional value and create no entitlement to a product, service or other benefit. Registration is not official proof of identity. Keep your QR private and provide only your own accurate details.

5. Optional Hall of Fame display

Public display on the results board requires a separate affirmative choice. Before agreeing, you see which name and result details will appear. Your mobile number is not published. The choice is not preselected and is not required to obtain your personal certificate.

You can withdraw publication consent using the contact details in the registration notice. Withdrawal concerns public display and does not invalidate your achievement.

6. Personal data and communication choices

Before you submit details, the registration notice identifies the controller, contact details, purposes and legal basis, required fields, recipients, any transfers, and retention periods or the criteria used to determine them. It also explains your rights and how to exercise them.

Certificate registration is not consent to marketing. Any such choice is presented separately, without preselection, with a clear sender, purpose and communication channels. Refusing or withdrawing it does not affect participation or your certificate.

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, and object where applicable. You retain the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Where consent is used, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.

7. Age suitability and minors

Before participation, check the specific game’s age suitability and the conditions displayed by the store. A minor participates with a parent or guardian’s knowledge and supervision.

A minor’s personal registration and public display require appropriate information and lawful parental consent procedures where required. If that process is unavailable, do not submit a minor’s personal details or create a public entry for them. The age for consenting to data processing is separate from a game’s age suitability.

8. Proper use and valid results

Use a legitimately issued ticket and follow the screen and staff instructions. Altering codes or results, using automation, interfering with equipment or registering another player’s achievement is not permitted.

If there is evidence of a technical error or invalid use, the relevant record may be reviewed or temporarily held. The player may request information and reconsideration from the store or DM SOFT. Any correction is based on the recorded details of the attempt.

9. Connectivity, interruptions and support

The physical installation operates as a terminal accessing the KioskPlay online service. An active Internet connection is required to conduct an attempt. This operating model does not include a standalone local or offline game.

If connectivity fails or there is a screen or printing problem, tell staff and retain the ticket. The store checks whether the attempt started or finished and whether a confirmed result exists before considering a reissue or replay. An interruption or unconfirmed result is not automatically recorded as a success.

Contact the store first about participation. For technical support or clarification of these terms, contact DM SOFT at info@dmsoft.gr. These terms do not restrict mandatory rights provided by law.

11. Additional and custom games

Each game has specific instructions, a goal, controls and age suitability shown before play. Branded and unbranded custom games follow the same basic principles for participation and recording achievements. Their specific rules are not assumed to match the 10 Seconds Challenge.

Adding a game or changing its mechanics requires assessment of that operation and corresponding updates to its terms. Branding alone does not determine a game’s legal classification.

12. Availability and updates to these terms

The terms are available before participation. Updates are dated and apply to future participation, without retrospectively changing the rule of a completed attempt. Store-specific information supplements these terms without overriding their basic principles.

Greek law and relevant EU legislation apply to installations in Greece, preserving participants’ mandatory rights.

Legislation and official sources

The references explain the basis of these terms. Official Gazette publications take precedence over legislative reference copies. HGC guidance is explanatory information, not an individual approval of KioskPlay.
